Update… or Why am I always behind?
So a few of the things we have been up to this month. My mom left, so I have been trying to be a good stay at home mom, without help… and somedays I feel like I am more successful than other days. Some days, I am just glad we are all dressed and out of bed. But I have been making dinner pretty regularly and started getting to playgroup (sort of) and we have even met Jeff for lunch a couple times. So maybe I am surviving better than I feel I am.
My mother-in-law had Veterans Day off (who has that day off? At my job I barely even knew that was a holiday… except they had a cool ceremony for the Vets at our facility) so we tried to get to Fairy Land, it was closed… so we ended up at Tilden Parks Little Farm (unfortunately we didn’t get anything to feed the animals). This time Sophie actually pet the animals and wasn’t as freaked out… she also “drove” the tractor for a little while, until we realized she wasn’t supposed to be playing with it… oops!
Other things going on in our home…
Sophie has found her new favorite spot, on top of the couch cushions, behind whomever is sitting there…

Her next favorite spot is in the Moses Basket:

She has also become a big fan of puzzles, and is surprisingly good at them (although I don’t know how good 2 year olds are supposed to be at puzzles, but I remember that I had 7 year old patients that couldn’t do 5 piece puzzles, so Sophie and her 25 piece puzzles make me happy… the Mom and OT in me are happy!).

Finally, Violet is finally filling out, and getting those cute chubby cheeks… we have her 2 month appointment later this week, so we will know how much weight she has been gaining, but she is almost out of newborn/preemie clothes, and 0-3 month clothes are fitting better now, only some of them make her look like she is drowning. She is getting to be so much fun, she gets all grinny and happy, and is sleeping pretty good.
