Halloween 2009

Here are some pictures from Halloween this year, we ended up doing a lot.  We carved pumpkins on Thursday, Trunk or Treat on Friday, Trick or Treat on Saturday and also had a bunch of family over Saturday night who were in town for the blessing… but I was too tired to take pictures, I was much more willing to visit, then take pictures… so trust me, it was a fun time, and my house was actually festive and fun for Halloween (thanks Steve, he provided the food and got the crowd… so little work for me, just all the fun!).

Here are a few pictures of the activities.  I carved a SWEET princess pumpmkin for Sophie (if you don’t think it is that cool you don’t need to comment!) the other design was her plan and OGO’s carving skills… she wanted a happy pumpkin.  We went trick or treating with some of my cousins and some friends.  Sophie was so excited that Carter was here, she help his hand for a goodly amount of time going house to house.  You will also see a picture of my dad in his costume… he was a cell phone.  It was pretty awesome, though, the back was all black and I was worried he was going to be run over because of poor visibility.  Instead, a mom told her kids to go stand next to the cell phone for a picture, without asking permission… I don’t know who they thought he was, maybe a neighborhood mascot?!?!  Also, we visited the Clayton Firehouse, they have fun things for kids every year, and though Sophie was still scared of Sparky the dog she did go sit in the firetruck this year… so we are getting better.

  1. Ohhh, how would it be trick-or-treating without out coats on covering up all of the fun costumes? Looks like you guys had fun. And I totally understand about the not taking pictures. I get pictures of a lot of the little day to day things, but when I have company I’m always to busy being hostess or visiting to get any good picture taking done-glad you were able to enjoy all of your visitors.

  2. Very cute halloween pictures! I’m impressed Sophie even sat in the fire truck. We visited uncle Andy at his fire station in Park City this summer and while John thoroughly enjoyed all of it, Kate was terrified of the dog, fire truck, ambulance…

  3. Thank’s so much for letting come and party with you all! It was a blast.

And thank you for letting come and enjoy the blessing and the after party as well.

    We love you!
